🔍 About the project
MiGROW was a leadership and skills-development initiative aimed at young refugees and migrants (ages 18-30). Through non-formal training programmes and peer-to-peer formats, the project helped participants grow in self-efficacy, intercultural competence and social inclusion.
🎯 Main objectives
- Strengthen self-efficacy and employability among young migrants and refugees.
- Foster intercultural understanding and emotional resilience.
- Encourage active participation and shared European values.
- Promote inclusion through education, training, and peer learning.
🧠 Kudwa’s role: Future-Proof Skills Course
As a partner in Spain, Asociación Kudwa designed and helped implement a short course titled “Introduction to Future-Proof Skills,” specially tailored for people with migrant backgrounds. The course emphasised emotional intelligence, intercultural communication, critical thinking and problem-solving.
🌍 Activities & Highlights
- National workshop series delivering training on mental strength, cultural awareness and access to training opportunities in Spain and Austria.
- International Growth Camp bringing together migrant youth from partner countries in an intensive leadership exchange.
- Train-the-Trainer webinars to equip youth workers and organisations with tools to support migrant inclusion.
- Production of a handbook for trainers and youth workers on strengthening self-efficacy in migrant youth.
- MiGROW Final Conference
Kudwa took part in the Final Conference to share insights from its work in Spain, emphasizing the importance of emotional and intercultural skills in labour market inclusion and active citizenship.
🌍 Impact
MiGROW enhanced the capacity of Kudwa’s community to navigate the European labour market with confidence, adaptability, and purpose.
Through emotional and intercultural intelligence training, participants gained tools to integrate more effectively, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to diverse and inclusive workplaces.
