From Stories to Policies

This program, presented in collaboration with New Women Connectors, is a monthly webinar series that explores key EU policies through a migrant lens. This initiative connects policy, lived experiences, and expert insights, aiming to simplify complex topics and foster informed discussions that lead to actionable recommendations. The Webinar series is led by our Kudwa community member Anton Skrelja.

By bringing together policymakers, experts, and migrant voices, we highlight how policies impact real lives, encourage dialogue, and propose ways to shape a more inclusive and fair future.

Why This Matters

EU policies shape the migration experience—from asylum systems and border controls to inclusion, employment, and digital rights. However, migrants are often excluded from these conversations. This series aims to change that by:
✔ Breaking down policies into accessible discussions
✔ Centering migrant perspectives alongside expert insights
✔ Encouraging participation through Q&As and open dialogue
✔ Generating policy recommendations to drive real change

How It Works

The series runs from March to December 2025, with a new topic each month (excluding August). Each session includes:
🔹 A simplified introduction to an EU policy and its relevance
🔹 Migrant voices sharing personal stories and challenges
🔹 Expert insights explaining the policy’s broader implications
🔹 An interactive Q&A and discussion for audience engagement
🔹 A final policy reflection with key takeaways

Sessions are hosted online via Zoom and open to the public. A final report summarizing insights and recommendations will be published at the end of the series.
